Club Information
TCGC
is an NRA-Affiliated gun club that was founded in 1965. It is located on 50
acres of hilly woodland 4 miles east of Milledgeville, IL and 6 miles west of
Polo, IL. All ranges are outdoor ranges and open year-round ... two lighted trap
ranges with 4 houses, 2 with automatic throwers ... one covered, cement-pad
20-point rifle/pistol range with 25, 50, & 100 yard berms ... one uncovered,
grassed rifle range with a 200 yard berm
… one covered, gravel rifle range with individual shooting benches and
a 200 yard berm ... Seven uncovered pistol ranges, various sizes, with berms from
15 to 75 yards. Range 2 has a covered,
cement-pad 15-point range with a 40 yard berm. A
clubhouse, with kitchen facilities, is also located on the grounds adjacent to
the trap range.
Regular
TCGC activities include an annual Open House the first weekend each May and an
annual Friends Of NRA Banquet each October or November, both open to the public.
Organized matches are held regularly for Trap, Hi-Power Rifle, USPSA/IPSC
3-Gun, Black Powder, Bullseye Pistol and SASS Cowboy
Action Shooting.
These matches are also open to the public.
Optional club work days are held the third Saturday of each month March
through October and members receive $6.00 per hour worked off their
next-year’s annual dues.
Applicants
can only be considered for Annual memberships if they possess [1] a currently
valid Illinois FOID card [2] a currently valid NRA membership card and [3] sign
a certification stating that they have received, read and agree to follow TCGC's
regulations and range rules.
Life memberships are no longer available.
If you do not belong to the NRA, or your membership has lapsed, TCGC is a
registered NRA Recruiter and you can join or renew through our club if you wish.
If
you found out about TCGC from a current member please ask them to sponsor your
application for membership.
If you submit your application without a sponsor, photocopies of both
your current NRA and FOID cards, with expiration dates clearly visible, should
also be enclosed with your application.
Membership
currently averages about 525 people, with roughly 25% of that number located
north & east of
