Club Information

TCGC is an NRA-Affiliated gun club that was founded in 1965. It is located on 39 acres of hilly woodland 4 miles east of Milledgeville, IL and 6 miles west of Polo, IL. All ranges are outdoor ranges and open year-round ... two lighted trap ranges with 4 houses, 2 with automatic throwers ... one covered, cement-pad 20-point rifle/pistol range with 25, 50, & 100 yard berms ... one uncovered, grassed rifle range with a 200 yard berm  … one covered, gravel rifle range with individual shooting benches and a 200 yard berm ... five uncovered pistol ranges, various sizes, with berms from 15 to 75 yards (plans are to upgrade one of these pistol ranges to a covered, cement-pad 15-point range with a 40 yard berm within the next year). A clubhouse, with kitchen facilities, is also located on the grounds adjacent to the trap range.

Regular TCGC activities include an annual Open House the first weekend each May and an annual Friends Of NRA Banquet each October, both open to the public.  Organized matches are held regularly for Trap, Hi-Power Rifle, USPSA/IPSC 3-Gun, Black Powder, Smallbore Rifle Silhouette, Bullseye Pistol and SASS Cowboy Action Shooting.  These matches are also open to the public.  Optional club work days are held the third Saturday of each month March through October and members receive $4.00 per hour worked off their next-year’s annual dues.

Applicants can only be considered for Annual memberships if they possess [1] a currently valid Illinois FOID card [2] a currently valid NRA membership card and [3] sign a certification stating that they have received, read and agree to follow TCGC's regulations and range rules.  Life memberships are no longer available.  If you do not belong to the NRA, or your membership has lapsed, TCGC is a registered NRA Recruiter and you can join or renew through our club if you wish.

If you found out about TCGC from a current member please ask them to sponsor your application for membership.  If you submit your application without a sponsor, photocopies of both your current NRA and FOID cards, with expiration dates clearly visible, should also be enclosed with your application.

Membership currently averages about 350 people, with roughly 25% of that number located north & east of Rochelle , IL including Chicago and suburbs. Each member receives a key to the club gate which allows them access to all ranges 7 days a week. Annual dues are $90 and are renewable in May of each year at which time the gate lock is changed and new keys are issued to renewing members in good standing. Dues for new members are pro-rated by month of application for their initial year of membership. A club activities schedule is maintained and made available to all members so they know which ranges are closed for matches or other purposes.
